And the Oscar Will Go To...

The Soloist starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx will most certainly be recieving at least one (perhaps several) Oscar nominations come award season. I can pretty much guarantee this for two reasons: 1) Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. are both acadamy favorites and previous winners (both have been nominated for 2 oscars each with Foxx winning one in 2005 for Ray). 2) The acadamy loves movies about handicapped people, mental or physical (Ray, The Aviator, Million Dollar Baby, A Beautiful Mind, I Am Sam...). Anyways I digress. The Soloist is about Nathaniel Ayers (Foxx), a homeless man with a mental disorder who is also a Juliard accepted cello player. He meets Steve Lopez (Downey Jr.), a journalist who befriends him.
