Leave the kids out of this!

Slumdog Millionaire was the big winners at the oscars this year...despite the fact I had never heard of it until Oscar season. Not the point. One of it's littlest stars, Rubina Ali, was alledegedly almost sold into slavery by her father. The not so daddy dearest hoped to get $300,000 off his talented tot. Her father was taken into custody, questioned, and then released. As if this wasn't enough for the 9 year old to endure, her mom and stepmom had an all out fight over the issue. Thankfully someone has the girl's best intrest in mind. There is a social worker watching out for Rubina and a trust has been set up for her so she will be financially secure in the future. This is tragic.
